Rover P6 Club Adds Digital Magazine Option!
We are very pleased to announce that all members now have the option to view their Driving Force Magazines online. This is a huge step in creating additional value to members, particularly for our more tech-focused individuals.
Going Digital introduces many advantages to readers including Instant delivery of new issues, on any device, back issues will always be available online and clickable hyperlinks to name just a few.
To view the new online copies, simply click the “Members Area” Header button at the top of any page.
It also gives us the oppotunity to offer a cheaper membership option to those who do not require the physical copy. We have released an informational page in Driving Force recently, but please read the details below for an update on how you can manage your choices.
DIGITAL NEWS – Renewing your membership
By the time you read this the club will have completed its digital launch at the NEC Classic Car Show.
This article is to update all members on the changes to the way they renew and the options open to them.
- Direct Debit: Members who renew via direct debit and wish to continue to receive their paper magazine in the post do not need to do anything. If you wish to change from a paper magazine to a digital version, where you log on to the website to read it, then please act as follows.
- Send an email to: membership@p6club.com and please make sure you put in the subject line, P6 Club – Direct Debit Update. This will enable our membership secretary to quickly identify a change is required and act accordingly thus reducing your annual charge. You do NOT need to wait until your renewal is due, even if it’s next summer/autumn you can still send the email now so your details can be updated well before the renewal is due.
By far the easiest way to change your direct debit membership is to follow these steps.
- Login to your membership record. You can do that here: https://p6club.com/membership/, scroll down and select the box labelled “View / Update my details”.
- Follow the instructions to enter your email address, and when you receive an email, click on the link.
- After clicking the link, you will be presented with your membership record and a button right at the top labelled “Cancel my Direct Debit”. Click this button.
- Wait roughly 3 minutes by which time GoCardless will have confirmed that your Direct Debit is cancelled.
- Refresh the page if necessary and click on “Renew Membership” and you can then select the FULL DIGITAL membership type and choose to pay by Direct Debit.
- Your new Direct Debit will now be associated with your new membership type.
You can do this at anytime – you don’t need to wait for your next renewal.
If you have any difficulties – Call Brian J
- Manual Entry: Log on as usual to the website to renew. You will now be presented with two options in the dropdown menu: FULL (which includes a paper magazine) & FULL DIGITAL (which is online magazine only). Your payment method is unaffected though the prices will be different of course.
- Confirmation on the above, have I interpreted this correctly?
All members will have the option of viewing the magazine online irrespective of their membership, so if you’re unsure about taking a digital magazine you will have the option to trial it by viewing online before you decide to give up on a paper copy.
I propose we insert a screenshot or shots of the tabs in the members area that link to the magazine. Adam, can you provide this please once it’s done.
Digital magazines will also be available before print copies arrive as the ‘time lag’ between finished magazine and the current printing & posting is eliminated. This will benefit overseas members in particular.
We will notify members of the availability of the newest issue via our Facebook & Instagram pages though you can always log on around the third week of the magazines month date to see if it is available. We are not yet in a position to guarantee a firm date for every month as there are too many parameters that can affect the completion of the magazine.
Going forwards the digital magazine can provide links to videos, maintenance and technical articles along with many other types of media to enhance your membership and assist you with any vehicle issues you may have.
